Our Story

Gurgly, established by Jane Joyce and Rosie Granger in 2023, are proud to offer a range of hand-crafted quality ceramics.    Our journey started in 2009 by creating the brand Gluggle Jug, developing and promoting this historical, iconic style of jug under a new name and to a new audience.    This rebrand quickly established it as a must-have product and became a household name.

After Wade Pottery went into administration in 2022, we used our experience and expertise to launch a ‘new’ design glug jug in 2023.   Using hand-crafted, traditional methods of manufacture and a contemporary design, our jugs are available in 3 sizes and a wonderful array of colours.

Our jugs are produced, exclusively for us, using high-gloss translucent glazes, which give them extraordinary scale definition and a top-quality finish.  They are made from durable earthenware, ensuring they are suitable for everyday use.

We work with exceptional family-run factories in Portugal that produce hand-crafted products for us.  In addition to our much-loved glug jugs, we have sourced exciting NEW products; all made using traditional methods of hand decoration and manufacture.  They are at the forefront of ceramic innovation and design and are passionate about the quality of their products. They maintain an inclusive and progressive approach to manufacturing and show a resolute commitment to sustainability.
